"Dirty Deal," written by J. Michael Straczynski, with art by Todd Fox and Enrique Villagran.

What happens when Professor Alan and guest Paul Spataro head to a dimension not only of sight and of sound, but of mind? And how worried should they be that the story is from a writer writing about writer and writing?

  1. Always good to hear you and Paul chat. And this story does indeed sound interesting with a nice twist ending.

But count me in as one of those on the 'ugh JMS' side of the scale. I truly loved his work on Supreme Power, one of the few deconstructions of DC archetypes that I thought worked.

However, once he started Superman down 'Grounded' and left halfway through when it was clear this was a bad direction (oh something he did on Wonder Woman AT THE SAME TIME!), I said never again.

I won't give him another dime.

    1. I get that, and support your choice. Of course, if a choice involves NOT spending money, I'm generally in favor ...
