Shortbox Showcase, Episode #1

"So ... What Age Are We In Now?" Professor Alan and Emily discuss what distinguishes the "eras" of comic books and what trends we are witnessing now that will define the 2010's and following decades. Golden Age fisticuffs, Silver Age Silliness, Bronze Age Relatability, Modern Age deconstruction, and EXTREME POUCHES can all be found ... in the Shortbox.

** We know of at least one major factual error in this episode, and there are probably many minor ones. Remember that we are not experts; just family.

Uncovering the Bronze Age, Episode #0

In this first installment of Uncovering the Bronze Age, meet Emily as she attempts to explains in ten minutes or less her motivation for starting a comic book podcast and her history with both comic books and podcasts. This was the first thing recorded for Relatively Geeky (at 1am on an iPhone, before we even had a domain name) so please be lenient and enjoy this look behind the internet curtain!

Coming Soon!

The super professional recording setup for
Shortbox Showcase #1
Our podcast episodes should be coming by the end of July or early August.  We are waiting to get some artwork back that we expect to use as the iTunes album art.

Once that comes back and we are ready to submit the podcast to iTunes, we will start posting the episodes here, as well.

At this point, we have 4 episodes "in the can," and more pretty close.  We will soon be posting for these shows:

Quarter-Bin Podcast. Professor Alan's first two episodes will feature comics starring Superman, in honor of the Man of Steel's 75th birthday.

Uncovering the Bronze Age. Episode #0 is ready to go, with Emily explaining the format and concept for the show. Work on episode #1 has also started.

Shortbox Showcase. This is the joint show. In episode #1, Professor Alan and Emily talk about the "ages" of comic books, and fight about what distinguishes the current era of comics from previous eras.
