Doom invites you to a retelling of his future origin. How did Doctor Doom arrive in 2099? How far has Latveria fallen in his absence? Who is that furry orange beast who claims to be running the nation? Isn't that guy too young and too unscarred to actually be Doctor Doom? And what could possibly go wrong flying in a 100-year-old airplane?  Listen to the episode and find out!

  1. I've been a Dr. Doom fan ever since the first Secret Wars series. so even though I was never into the Marvel 2099 titles I still felt incline to give this issue a thorough look one day when I saw it on a rack at a grocery store next too a place I worked at while I was on a lunch break. I also like many of the same things you did about it but even back then I didn't at all care about the tiger wilde character he seemed kinda silly with not just his name but his look to. the cover was really impressive too but i'm not sure if Pat Broderick was the most ideal artist for that book.

  2. An amazing issue, of a fantastic series, with incredible coverage! This is one of the all-time greatest podcast episodes! But what can you expect for a series featuring DOOM!!!!

I can't wait for future episodes! I'm going to have to go dig out my DOOM 2099 issues and binge read in anticipation!

  4. I've never read ANY 2099 issues so I enjoyed hearing about this issue from a big fan.
