You know, I’ve never read a Punisher comic, and I missed this crossover entirely. The high concept behind it sounds fair enough until you think about it for ten seconds... sure, we have heroes fighting villains they’ve never previously battled, so it’s true that they don’t know their weaknesses intimately. But every regular villain had a first encounter with a hero - and lost.

Other than that unwarranted insult to Doom's honor ... that's a really good point.
