E&E #039 - Comic Book Genres: Humor

In this 39th episode, Alan continues a (fingers crossed) monthly series of episodes featuring the comic book genre assigned to that month. Which makes this episode a discussion of ... humor comics! And also funny comic strips, cartoons, TV shows, & movies.

What observational humor skills does Captain Entropy bring to the episode? Does he prefer knock-knock jokes, or slapstick?

  1. Great episode and great discussion!
I've never picked up too many 'humor' books finding them too much like 'kid' books as you said. Even as a 6yr old, I wanted to read superhero drama and less silliness (ironic since the pun is my favorite form of humor and is rampant in those books).
I do like when super-hero books veer to humor. The recent Jimmy Olsen book by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber being a good example. Or the BWA-HA-HA JLA book.
    As for other media:
What's Up Doc as a favorite comedy movie.
Seinfeld as favorite TV comedy (but many others could be listed. Loved Odd Couple being mentioned).

But seriously Prof - no mention of your own favorite ... L'il Jinx ???
