ReplyDeleteI read this in Marvel Tales #142, when that title flipped to start reprinting the earliest issues. Remember, back on those days (1982) there weren't trades and omnibuses. You had to see two panel recaps or wait for reprints.
Love that Doom is looking for allies. It will work with Namor!
I love that you point out how fully formed the concept of the comic is just 5 issues in. One thing I find woefully missing in current comics is the supporting cast. Here you have three arenas Peter is juggling - home, work, school. Perhaps that is why he felt so relatable!
It shames me to say I didn't recognize the genius of Ditko's are until later in life. His stuff is dizzying. Love it.
I also think I read that first in MT 142, but less than 5 years ago.
