  1. Great show and year in review. I wish I was as organized as you are so I could put out all the comics I have read and break down the stats.

Pretty easy for me to know that DC far and away is top publisher I read, just based on Wednesdays and my pull list. And similarly, I am sure the Super-family is well at the top of the pack character-wise.

As for a sort of year wrap-up, I feel that new comics sort of rebounded in my mind in 2024. There are plenty of books that I am reading and enjoying a lot. That is the purpose of comics - enjoyment. I get it. But I feel like in the prior years, I was looking for it. Now I have found it.

And to borrow a catch phrase, it all starts with Superman. Between Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Joshua Williamson and Mark Waid, Superman and his support cast, including my beloved Supergirl, have been in good hands.

Certainly there is some 'recency bias' but I think the Absolutes and much of the 'All In' books have also seem re-energized in a way I haven't felt since Rebirth.

Thanks for another great year of podcasts and your friendship!

    1. I don't feel a strong need to buy new DC off the shelves, but I too have heard very good things about the Absolute and All-In books. Maybe a skim of the DC App is in order ...
