I smiled widely when you mentioned the SSV issues.
ReplyDeleteAs you may know, I am a huge Creeper fan. And I was introduced to him in SSV #9. It was there, seeing him crouched in rain, willing to go into the belly of the beast, that I recognized his greatness.
Perfect read.
I know you say you rarely hold on to issues. But this one is a Creeper Keeper.
I think Creeper Keeper is gonna be the name of the October episode ...
DeleteYou’re right, I would have been annoyed by signatures in the middle of the comic you mentioned. If it’s real art on board rather than work created on a screen, why not sign it after it’s been returned by the publisher? If it’s digital, sign it after it’s printed out. There’s obviously some selling-on advantage for the artist, but it’s to the detriment of the reader, interrupting the story with commerce.
ReplyDeleteBoo to artists who do this!
I am with you on this, now. You have won a convert.
