Ah, 2099! The failed experiment created when Marvel thought "What readers really want is stories of a dystopian future with superheroes. The SAME superheroes...only DIFFERENT!" It's like someone shoved the Marvel Universe into a blender alongside a copy of William Gibson's "Neuromancer". I think it jumped the shark when the Fantastic Four 2099 title started.

I haven't reviewed any that made it into the crapbox. I should get right on that.
We could both just limit our coverage to "dead universes" in the cheap bins and have PLENTY of material.

ReplyDeleteAnd I forgot Ravage 2099 #1. I reviewed that turkey. Maybe it's for the best I forgot.
