But with the way the Marvel movies seem to be going, I probably ought to learn a bit more about Infinity Things ...Relatively Geekyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08214808049768090936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754356721889145004.post-66397464134477222052015-03-11T13:53:33.351-04:002015-03-11T13:53:33.351-04:00I haven't read any of the later Infinity stori...I haven't read any of the later Infinity stories. Infinity Gauntlet, the first of them, I found to be fairly self-contained. Dr. Stra...I really dug your coverage of this issue. Dr. Strange has always been a character I've liked but not read a whole lot of. My first introduction to the character was in the pages of the Fireside Books "Bring on the Bad Guys" collection. From there I probably would have next encountered the character as a member of the Defenders, where he's joined by a cast of some of my favorite Marvel characters in Hulk, Namor, and Silver Surfer. So naturally Stephen Strange grew in status among characters I like, but I've never been able to track down any of his solo adventures to determine if I would still enjoy him on his own.

The Infinity stuff has always been confusing, have they ever released all of these in trade in the proper order? I've read some tie-ins that reference some of the events. but outside the original Infinity Gauntlet, I've never dipped my toes into any of the follow up stuff. From the outside looking in It seems like a daunting task.

Anyway, throw in Dr. Doom, another favorite of mine, and you got a real winner. Great coverage!

-Kyle BenningMetropolisKid41https://www.blogger.com/profile/12121196519360092429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754356721889145004.post-47116701093160692352015-03-10T20:44:27.527-04:002015-03-10T20:44:27.527-04:00I never read any of the Infinity { whatever } stor...I never read any of the Infinity { whatever } stories, except for the occasional crossover story that showed up in other titles I was reading. I definitely assume that there will be a marketing push when the movie gets closer.Relatively Geekyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08214808049768090936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8754356721889145004.post-31485050220180287472015-03-10T19:54:47.618-04:002015-03-10T19:54:47.618-04:00I've never read this issue, but it was especia...I've never read this issue, but it was especially interesting to hear about because I DID read Infinity Gauntlet as a kid (and re-read it last year) and remember seeing reflected in those pages the events of this issue. I am hoping that as we get closer to a Doctor Strange movie Marvel will add more of his issues to Marvel Unlimited. The offerings there at the moment are a bit meager.
